中信盃黑豹旗全國高中大賽自2013年舉辦以來，每年參賽隊伍數都持續增加，中國信託商業銀行自去年起投注資源冠名贊助，共計4年，今年邁入第2年。
中信集團近年來對台灣棒球相當投入，職棒方面接手中信兄弟，基層棒球是職棒的根基，也是培養國人對棒球注入熱情的機會，自去年起贊助黑豹旗，讓青棒球員有發揮球技的舞台。
以台灣青棒層級來看，105學年度報名高中棒球聯賽木棒組只有43隊，數字增加得較為緩慢，至於社團性質的球隊，則因黑豹旗的曝光而有了催生的作用。
特別是中信銀贊助後，將賽事辦得更盛大，曝光度也隨之增加，今年共有31隊是首度參賽，透過黑豹旗讓所有愛好棒球的高中生齊聚一堂，以球會友，不少隊伍則是從第一屆至今沒有缺席過，讓台灣高中生棒球參與度增高，若以本屆黑豹旗190支隊伍報名參賽來計算，非木棒組球隊就多達147隊。
